School For Broadcast Media - Jakarta
Focusing on training journalists in regional areas. Most people in the provinces are too poor to actually make it to the city to get proper training, resulting in poor reporting that is affected by corruption, threats, government and corporate pressures. On top of that, there are now more than 33 local TV stations and around 7 national ones.
The school has no outside funding and is asking for support for scholarships and tutors. The school has some of the best broadcast training faculties in the country (TV studio/7 edit suites/Radio studio and edit suites/ENG cameras etc.)
