Spring Into Action: Free Ideas For Your Tropfest 2009 Short Film
Another year passes and another Tropfest short film festival comes and goes. You’ve seen the films and now you want to make one yourself. But what will your story be?
This year’s Tropfest Signature Item is ‘Spring’.
The rules of the festival allow any interpretation of the signature item, such as (with the help of dictionary.com):
- n. the season between winter and summer
- n. a coiled object used in pens, car suspension and children’s playground equipment
- n. a place where water flows out of the ground
- n. a slinky
- v. to jump
- v. to appear or move suddenly
- v. to pay for
And keep in mind, your story does not need to revolve around the signature item. ‘Spring’ only needs to appear somewhere in the film, to prove that the film was made specifically for Tropfest 2009.
