I am making a short movie for Tropfest. It is going to be shot in a lift with a step ladder. It is called ‘Pairs of Pears’ and it is about building a peaceful planet. There is no money in this little festival entry but a more expansive version will be made later in 2008 [...]

This short film is a 15 minute film with a non-linear, dream-like structure. It is an experiment toward the use of pure, dramatic cinematic language to tell a story and explore character. It is an exploration into moments in one girl’s life centred around an inner city brothel.

‘The Refugee’ is the tender, heart wrenching story about a refugee who tries desperately to fit into Australian Society whilst battling missing his family who still live in the country that he has fled from. We will apply to the AFC for short film strand in March 2008.
