Film For Festival
“What do you Film For?”
We are calling you to submit films to kick off the first annual Film.For Festival. Look at your short film collection and send us your best film fast! The deadline is Monday, November 26th. The films will be screened as part of the festival which saw 5000+ people walk through last year and we are expecting an even bigger crowd this year. There are prizes to be won including a professional re-shoot and edit of your film. Not to mention the chance to network with like minded individuals.
Our main objective is to build and promote a greater sense of community by supporting local filmmakers in an urban setting. This years theme will be “What do you Film For?”. At the festival we will have a draw for a prize (TBC). What the members of the community have to do to enter the draw is write down “What would you make a film for?” We will have a stand, with a short film clip illustrating the concept further. We will then take those written ideas, concepts, and life stories and distribute them to you - the film maker. If you choose, you can then select what inspires you most and start a project from that idea to submit for next year’s festival.
