In celebration of its 25th anniversary, director Ridley Scott (ALIEN, GLADIATOR, THELMA & LOUISE and BLACK HAWK DOWN) has gone back into post production to create the long-awaited definitive new version, which has been brilliantly restored and remastered from original elements and scanned at 4K resolution. This version contains never-before-seen added/extended scenes, added lines, new and improved special effects, and an all-new 5.1 Dolby® Digital audio track.
With the assistance of Sony’s revolutionary CineAlta 4K D-Cinema Projection System [currently the only system in the world to project 4K DCI (Digital Cinema Initiative), Standard Cinema Content], BLADE RUNNER: THE FINAL CUT will be presented in the highest quality format currently available, ensuring that the film will look nothing short of spectacular.
BLADE RUNNER: THE FINAL CUT will screen exclusively in this format on the big screen for four Sydney screenings only. The film will be available to own on DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray from 19th December 2007 in three spectacular editions, restored and remastered with 5.1 Audio, new and deleted scenes, special effects and more!
