Trop Jr
Created by the folks who bring you Sony Tropfest, TROP JR is a short filmmaking competition open to kids aged 15 years and younger. So if you are a budding young filmmaker – or just want to have some fun with your friends – grab a camera and start shooting your masterpiece!
ENTRY GUIDELINES
Your film must be specifically made for Trop Jr 2008
Your film must include the 2008 Trop Jr Signature Item (GREEN)
Trop Jr 2008 must be your films first public screening
Your film must be 7 minutes or less (including title and credits)
Your film must be suitable for children under 15
Filmmakers must be 15 years or younger at the time of application
It is Tropfest tradition to include a signature item in your film to show that it was made for our festival. The TROP JR Signature Item (TSI) for 2008 is GREEN. You may interpret this in any way you like - be creative! Just like big Trop, TROP JR is one of the best exhibition opportunities for rising talent, giving filmmakers a chance to screen their films in one of the most unique festival environments in the world. Bring the family along (as well as a picnic blanket and basket!) for a fun-filled afternoon on Sunday 17th February. 8 TROP JR Finalists will premiere their films to a live audience in Sydneys Domain, before Sony Tropfest 2008.
