Tropical Fruits Film Festival

The Tropical Fruits Film Festival is a community cultural event to beheld at The 2007 New Year’s Eve party ‘Red Carpet’. It aims to be an exciting and Provocative space for GLBTQI film, video and multi media practitioners to showcase their work and creativity to the 3000+ guests at Tropical Fruit’s 30 hour NYE event.
WHEN: 31st December 2007 and 1st January 2008 (evenings)
Entries for Film Festival close November 31st 2007. DVD or Mini DV formats preferred.
WHERE: Lismore’s Showgrounds – outdoor screen and seating at ‘Red Carpet’ Tropical Fruits NYE and Recovery party.
THEME: The theme for this year’s party is ‘Red Carpet’, old school glamour and Pizzazz where everyone’s a VIP. The films and multi media productions Tropical Fruits are seeking will be primarily independent and not restricted to a specific theme. The content selected will be original, light hearted, positive and quirky. Tropical Fruits wants work that will celebrate the community’s cultural and creative brilliance and most importantly diversity.
The selection panel will assess the relevance and suitability of all film, video and multi media productions sent in and select those works that are uplifting and entertaining. All works chosen for screening will be credited at the event also on Tropical Fruits.
