Beginners to Intermediate
Want to work in a Multicam environment and shoot a job that can be streamed live online? Metro Screen in partnership with SPAA Fringe, Viocorp, Screenhub, Firelight and Videocraft offers this unique opportunity to learn how its done, over four days, in an industry setting.
Over the first day, in a professional studio environment, you will learn all you need to know about crew roles, camera and lighting techniques, sound and vision mixing.
On the second day you will set up and shoot three episodes of Screenhub TV, to be Executive Produced and hosted by Marcus Gillezeau (Firelight Productions).
Over the following two days you will shoot keynote sessions at the SPAA Fringe 2007 at the Paddington Town Hall and Chauvel Cinema, with the content streamed online courtesy of Viocorp. The course also offers you free entry to SPAA Fringe including the social and networking events (valued at $200).
This is a very hands-on practical course and positions students well for employment opportunities in the live broadcast / multicam environment.
TUTOR | Martin Keyes has worked as a Director and Vision Mixer in broadcast and live production environments. He has extensive experience in multi-camera production including sporting events (Commonwealth Games, Test and One Day International Cricket, NRL Rugby League, Rugby Union), Music and concert coverage (Australian Idol, Musicoz Awards, Black eyed Peas concert DVD). Martin brings 17 years of broadcast television experience to his training role.
